Copper is the New Black
After a hunt for accessories that were made from raw copper to our specs for a client we have transversed the world, and come up with some stunnung sinks, designed inhouse, and the whole office is excited about seeing these, but we are super excited that the hardware for the cabinets was a little closer to home, infact only a suburb away! We journeyed the world to find what we needed close to home..... The wonderful Louis Berczi, who made the great stools a

In a week that saw the roof come off The Block Glasshouse, and let the light in, we are onto another project, where we are excavating a multistorey reno with robot dinosaurs....... well, Ok, mini remote control excavators. Amazing that in this confined space, the job can be done remotely and quickly....... looking forward to seeing the results! The magic of these machines is the stuff of boyhood imaginings, and brings magic to the buildings we work on, its in

Not sure Dee from The Block Likes our plans!
If she's going to abuse The Block architect, Dee could at least check the car cam isn't recording. After losing the Blockhead jury to Michael and Carlene, Dee decided to vent to husband Darren in the car on the way back to The Block. But unbeknownst to Dee, Darren had turned the car cam on and when she found out she wasn't happy about it. Check out the video above to see what Dee said. #architectsmelbourne #brenchleyarchitects #glasshouse #modernarchitecture #residentialmidri

Man Ray meets Dux House
With The Blocks new Glass house airing next Sunday, we were looking back over some old images from Dux House and noticed that around the period that Dux House was originally being build 1914, Man Ray was making exception works of beauty in Photography. Here at Brenchley Architects we are all a little bit obsessed with Photography as well as Achitecture, and we couldnt help but notice the simialrities beween these two images, taken nearly 100 years apart! Yesterday two boxes arrived in the office, on unwrapping them we found large golden boxes, like big golden ingots, that upon opening bore two Awards, that needed to be constructed.... without instructions! It was like lego meets Rubiks cubes, needless to say we were in heaven! One for Residential mid Rise Jury prize and one for Residential midrise popular choice! Later that afternoon we had another dispatch from the good folk at Architzer, letting us know we
